Light and discretely elegant, this biodynamic red is made in Paso Robles, California by the joint venture between the Perrin (maker of Chateau de Beaucastel in the Rhone Valley, France) and Haas families. This bottle shows how the Rhone varieties (Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, etc) grow very well in this coastal part of California.

Ripe red fruit and cloves, juniper and pepper, geranium and a hint of vanilla at the nose, the wine could be longer in the finish, but it is a very good value for the price. Interesting but not difficult, it’s a good everyday choice for lovers of light red wines.

Grapes: Syrah, Grenache, Counoise, Mourvedre

Pairing: Have it always with food, and particularly white meats, soups, salads.

Appellation: Paso Robles AVA
