As I already described in the Puro description, the Latins used to say: nomen, omen to mean than often a name is the precise definition of what a person (or a thing) is. This wine’s name, Puro, is exactly expressing what this wine is. It is an organic and pure Chianti made with 100% Sangiovese grape from the Rufina area north of Florence, with no sulfites added.
Puro Riserva is aged at least one year more than the Puro, and is complex at the nose. Scents of ripe blackberries and blackcurrants, notes of candied violets, nutmeg and eucalyptus, wet sand to refresh the aromas.
At the palate Puro Riserva is persistent, smooth and balanced. Tannins are elegant and it is harmonious from beginning to end.
Pairing: Ribollita, pasta amatriciana, pork chops and grilled sausages
