Our Score: 90
From the region made famous by the movie Sideways, which put the Pinot Noir grape in the American consumer’s radar, this is a very affordable Pinot Noir for lovers of easy-to-drink wines: not full bodied, not big and powerful. I underline this as a plus, not as a defect. Julia Pinot Noir has an elegant scent of seashell and a smoky note with lots of red dry flowers, red berries and blood. The oak is present but far from overwhelming. At the palate, it is complex and fresh, dry and fruity.
