Connoisseurs know that the Barolo denomination produces different styles according to the sub-region where the vines are located. For example, La Morra is more elegant, whereas Serralunga and Monforte are more powerful.
Giovanna Bagnasco’s organic Barolo 2015 delivers the ultimate elegance one may find in a Barolo from La Morra.
At the nose it is floral with immediate attack of dry rose petals, potpourri and bay leaves, cloves and nutmeg, ink, iron and carnations. It is very complex and pleasant. At the palate it is smooth with almost velvety tannins, uncommon in a young Barolo. Its elegance, together with the subtleness of the long finish of herbs and candied roses, make it an excellent choice for frequent consumption.
Pairing: A pasta with mushrooms or with any meat ragù; braised beef, polenta and cheese.
Appellation: Barolo DOCG, Italy
