Featured Wineries: Tenuta Casteani
Tenuta Casteani is an organic estate in Tuscany's Maremma region, the wild coastal zone south of the more famous Chianti hills. Winemaker Mario Pelosi works with indigenous grapes, primarily Vermentino and Sangiovese, farming without synthetic chemicals. His wines reflect the Maremma's warmer climate: riper fruit, rounder tannins, and a Mediterranean character you don't find in wines from further north.
