A very drinkable white wine from organic Vermentino grapes - crisp and fruity. A very good expression of Vermentino, with the added value of no added sulfites.
Spirito Libero means “free spirit”, as the wine is free of added sulfites. During the fermentation process in winemaking, the generation of sulfites is a natural process, but usually other sulfites are added to “stabilize the wine”. In this case, winemaker Mario Pelosi decided not to add any sulfites and to reveal on the label of each vintage the number of milligrams of naturally occurring sulfites.
At the nose, we immediately get a floral note of honeysuckle followed by golden plums. In the mouth, you can also pick up a spicy note of saffron mingling with tropical fruit, such as very ripe pineapple. It is balanced, intense and persistent.
Pairing: Great with all seafood appetizers, clams and white fish.
Appellation: Toscana IGT, Italy
