The Montecucco village is just south of the famous Montalcino, and its own appellation is turning heads in the wine community because the price-quality ratio is very interesting.
As with Montalcino, Sangiovese is the dominant grape here. Notes of red rose and dark dry potpourri, dry figs and eucalyptus emerge at the nose. At the palate it is crisp and tannic, and I suggest to drink it at the table with food.

Pairing: Perfect with a cheeseburger, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, a salumi board and barbecue.
