Frédéric Magnien is now the fifth generation of the Magnien family to manage this domaine in Burgundy, with parcels of land in 31 different crus in the villages of Vosne Romanée, Saint Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. The winery is certified organic since 2008 and biodynamic since 2015.

This Chambolle-Musigny Les Argillières is aged 18 months in barrels of second passage and terracotta jars, aromatically neutral, to allow a full expression of the fruit and the soil.  At the nose, scents of dark plums and berries followed by ashes, nutmeg and a wet stone note with a hint of iron. At the palate it is smooth yet austere.

A typical Pinot Noir from Burgundy in its best elegance.

Grape: Pinot Noir

Pairing: Pork chops, pasta with rabbit ragù, roasted chicken legs. It is one of the reds you can enjoy also with a wild king salmon or a tuna steak.

Appellation: Bourgogne Chambolle Mousigny AOC, France
