A Barolo village, as the French would call it, from the vines in the Serralunga d’Alba municipality, the cradle of Barolo appellation. The color is dark ruby with garnet hues. The scents of rosehip and red roses with clove and china (cinchona officinalis, found in the Barolo Chinato in Alba, Piemonte, nowhere else!), are as important as the forest floor and plum notes at the nose. At the palate it is elegant and structured, long, with a complex harmony of fruit, licorice, balsamic notes and sapidity. The tannins are elegant and well-integrated.

Grape: Nebbiolo

Pairings: All kinds of stewed meats, or roasted pork shank or a ribeye.  Aged cheeses and porcini mushrooms.

Appellation: Barolo DOGC, Piedmont, Italy
