If you like a simple light Pinot Grigio, give this Purato a chance. It is made in Sicily with a blend of the indigenous Catarratto and Pinot Grigio, producing a pleasant wine with notes of white flowers, pear, ripe citrus and iodine at the nose. At the palate it is crisp and fruity yet dry. It strikes me as a particularly great value: it’s sold at an excellent price for its score and quality.
