A unique Chardonnay, made with grapes planted in the Gualtallary district at 5,000 feet of altitude, in a bed of a dry river with fossils-rich alluvial soil. High acidity, high minerality, and a scent of tea tree oil, sea iodine, limestone, and citrus zest, before the notes of unripe white peach and white flowers emerge to accompany sweet spices flavors. It is a very sapid, crisp, persistent and elegant wine in its complete austerity. Definitively not the usual Chardonnay, but excellent for explorers who like to experience the spectrum of flavors this grape can offer when planted and farmed in a very specific and unique soil. The only possible comparison could be some Chablis from Burgundy.
Very good and ready to drink if you like sharp Chardonnay. It will be smoother 5 years from now.
