Our Score: 90
This everyday white wine is very floral, fruity and mineral with notes of ripe lemon, white peach, white narcissus, jasmine and honeysuckle. At the palate the finish is fruity with an almond note. I like this bottle because the flinty minerality typical of the appellation is very well integrated in the fruit and makes it smoother than the majority of other Vernaccia di San Gimignano bottles.
Pairing: Raw fish, sushi and sashimi; pasta with basil pesto, or ricotta and spinach ravioli with walnuts and creamy butter sauce.
Appellation: Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, Italy
