This Vermentino grape from Sardegna is a fresh alternative to the usual Pinot Grigio. As much as they are different, there are some similarities: easy to drink, not too strong, powerful, or expensive. This Vermentino from Antonella Corda is fresh and fruity with golden apple notes and white flowers; connoisseurs will recognize the fossil fuel minerality and the Mediterranean herbs at the nose, typical of the extraordinary scents of this island, 30 miles West of the Italian coast.
Pairing: Fregola (Sardinian couscous) with seafood, oven baked branzino, octopus salad.
Appellation: Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, Italy
