Our score: 92
This Pinot Noir, which owes its dark ruby color to the high extraction from the skin maceration, is fine, intense and complex. The violets and red berries are immediate at the nose, together with pine trees, sage, white stones, chalk and a balsamic note.
On the palate it is intense and well balanced, with a good density that is unusual for a northern European Pinot Noir. It has a long, harmonious and complex finish.
Grape: Pinot Noir
Pairing: I like this Pinot Noir with roasted pork and apple sauce, or a barbecue with sauces which are not excessively spicy. Also great with filled pasta, like dumplings or ravioli and cannelloni, or lasagne with beef ragu.
Appellation: Suho Rdce Kakovostno Vino ZGP, Slovenia
