This is a good everyday choice for people who like Bordeaux and do not want to spend much. It is the kind of “house wine” you may drink in a simple bistrot while visiting the region.
I put it in the list because it is very good value for the price of the appellation - but do not expect a superior wine that will impress connoisseurs. Black and blue berries, dry red flowers and fresh carnations, toasted wood notes and peppery hints.
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc
Pairing: Steak, burgers, any read meat, but also aged cheeses and mushroom sauces.
Appellation: Bordeaux AOC, France
